Rating the 2021 Emmy Awards Looks      We are finally into post-pandemic award season!!! The Emmy Awards took place on September 19, 2021, and there are so many outfits to observe and rate this year.  Ellen Pompeo- As a huge Grey's Anatomy fan, I was by no means disappointed by Pompeo's amazing outfit this year!!! It looks very chic and put together. I am also obsessed with the fact that she went to the Emmys in a JUMPSUIT! It just looks to be very much in style and she looked beautiful that night!  Billy Porter- I actually love this! I do not expect anything less from him. He always comes to every award ceremony in the best outfits and his style game this season was absolutely amazing. His poses, the wings on his outfit, and his personality just made watching the red carpet show even more fun. Kenan Thompson- I was so excited seeing Kenan Thompson on the red carpet! I have always been a big fan of his humor on SNL and he just looked so great on the Emmys!...

Thoughts on Fall- Scarlet Matteson

Image
Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall. Fall, in my opinion, is the best season of the year. It is fulfilled with crisp scents, crunchy leaves, and pumpkin everything. It deeply saddens me that it is the end of September and it is not the perfect temperature of 50-60 degrees. Hopefully, in the next week, we are able to whip out the comfy sweaters and the fall vibes.      This year I am realizing how much I took Fall for granted in previous years. This Fall season I have some of the things listed I am doing to fulfill my fall bucket list... -Haunted Hayrides -Pumpkin Picking -LOTS of pumpkin-flavored drinks -Wearing flannels 24/7     Don't even get me started on pumpkin-scented candles. I will go on levels way too far to get a good fall-scented candle. I feel like in another universe I am a 40-year-old mom because of what I am about to say but, Homegoods and Bath and Bodyworks are my happy place. I could spend hours upon hours just smelling candles...

Taylor Ham vs. Pork Roll: Who's Correct? - Tahg Herbison

Taylor Ham vs. Pork Roll: Who's Correct? The great debate of the Garden State, North Jersey versus South Jersey, the age-old question. Who's correct? Since everyone reading this lives in New Jersey, I hope, you would all know about the Taylor Ham-Pork Roll debate here. This is probably the most famous debate in New Jersey becau se of how silly it is. Like, really? We're fighting over what to call a breakfast sandwich. I have a little bias, though, I call it Taylor Ham because I live in North Jersey and I live by that, I will debate anyone that disagrees with me about this topic. Anyways, back to the blog.     So who is correct? Well, back in 1856 in the state capital, Trenton, a man named John Taylor created the state sandwich ...

Ava Dutro: My Thoughts on the Influence Tiktok has had on Teens and Young Adults

Image
Tiktok; everyone has it, everyone loves, everyone watches it. The real scoop behind this app is whether it's leaving a negative impact on teens or not. If you asked any parent they would probably go on and on about how horrible this app is. Although, maybe not mine. Both of my parents actually have Tiktok and love it. I have had Tiktok for about two years and I love it. It isn't some social media app that kids get addicted to, in reality, it's a community. Tiktok shows you videos that aline with your interests or views and while some would call this an echo chamber I think of it more as a community. The most important thing when it comes to this idea of an echo chamber is knowing when you are in one. I would like to think m...

Thoughts about Anything- Ellie Luizzo                                                                            Thoughts about Hilton Head Island      During  summer vacation I went to Hilton Head Island. My family and I have always wanted to explore Hilton Head. Most people who have gone there rave about it and some even return year after year.  We wanted to go last summer, however, due to Covid, my parents decided that we would just vacation at our usual spot in Cape May.  Now that my whole family has had their vaccinations we decided it would be the perfect time to go. We went by plane and it was a quick flight, only about an hour and a half.       When we arrived in Hilton Head we were initially shocked to...

For display, Not for sale Written by: Amarin Parham

Please keep in mind I am NOT  talking about every girl who dresses this way. I understand not everyone dresses this way for the reasons listed. I never  intended for this to make people feel ashamed. Feel free to state your opinions in the comments. I respect everyone's opinion and would love to hear how you feel about this topic. Thank you!                                             Insecure, When you think of that word who do you see. Yourself? A friend? A family member? Who I see are some of the inappropriately dressed girls in our school. Shocked? Everyday I walk down the hallway and see these girls. They curse and pretend to be something there not. They put themselves on display hoping ...
