Top 5 travel destinations by Ella Ryan

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to know what's out there. Traveling the world is something that I am very interested in. I have had the privilege to go to many amazing places. For example, I have traveled to, St. John, Nassau Bahamas, Panama, and so many more places. Watching movies, tv shows, and even reading books has just continued to increase my interest in other cultures, countries, and ways of life. The list of destinations I would like to travel to is infinite, however, in this blog post, I will explain the top 5 locations I would enjoy traveling to.

Number 1: Greece

Greece has always been a place that deeply fascinates me.  I've seen Greece in multiple movies, and I've read about it in many books. From the rich and deep history to the beautiful architecture Greece has so much to offer. Greece is an amazing place, with so much to do. For example, touring the Acropolis and learning the beautiful history, hiking up Mount Olympus, one of the most famous mountains in the world, and seeing the beautiful views. Maybe even just enjoying the wonderful food selection. Finally, the most prominent reason why Greece is my number one travel destination is because of the architecture in Santorini. With the white buildings and deep blue roofs all on the Island of Thira, it truly is breathtaking.

Number 2: Italy

Italy is an amazing country with outstanding cuisine, stunning architecture, and rich history.  Italy has been on my travel list for a long time. My Grandpa is Italian and has always talked about how wonderful Italy is.  This piqued my interest even further. There are so many places to explore from Rome to the Amalfi Coast with so many sites to see along the way. For example, the Colosseum is a wonderful tourist attraction providing history and architecture. Another location I would like to visit in Italy is the Grand Canal located in Venice. Lastly, Lake Como is famous for its scenic areas and beautiful outlooks. And of course, you cannot take a trip to Italy without trying homemade Italian cuisine. It is no wonder Italy is traveled all year round.

Number 3: South Africa

South Africa is a beautiful country with a deep history. It has astonishing flora and fauna that will make you want to stay there forever. South Africa is famous for wildflowers, including the protea which is its national flower. Also, South Africa is home to the aardvark, jackal, lion, wild buffalo, hippopotamus, and of course penguins. Between going to museums, going on a safari, or just taking in the breathtaking views, South Africa truly is an amazing destination.

Number 4: Fiji

Fiji is a rainbow of color, from the water to the flowers. The bright blue glistening water of Fiji makes it the perfect beach vacation. And the color of the flowers accents the water just beautifully.  Fiji is one of those places you will go there once and never want to be anywhere else. I have only ever heard amazing things from anyone who's been to Fiji. It is a relaxing and beautiful vacation. There are many mountains to hike up to get a panoramic view of the beautiful oceans. It is no secret that Fiji is the perfect trip.

Number 5: Japan

Japan is an amazing country, with beautiful nature and amazing cuisine. Japan has something for everyone, this is one of the major appeals of this wonderful country. In Japan you can never get bored, you can hike Mount Fiji and look over at the scenery, go to Tokyo,  or just enjoy the country's culture and cuisine. Japan is a beautiful country with so much to do that many travelers go once and never want to come home.

I would feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to travel to every single one of these countries. Each with its own unique culture, cuisine, and architecture. I just hope that one day I can experience it all. The hardest part about this assignment was to pick only five places to travel, I'm sure if I could make a list of 100 I would fill up every single spot.
