    The Met Gala is anyone who's anyones chance to dress their best in true avant-garde style. This years Met Gala theme was "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion". The fashion this year was... iffy, but there were a few looks that took the cake, for better or worse

So may I present: An unqualified, judgy 15 year old reviewing the best and worst of the Met Gala 2021

The Best

Barbie Ferreira

Barbie wore this elegant, pearl-encrusted dress by Jonathan Simkhai
Yara Shahidi

In true old Hollywood Glamour, Yara Shahidi wore this vintage inspired Dior masterpiece
Billie Eilish

Eilish also channeled old Hollywood in this simple, yet extremely elegant, Oscar de la Renta gown
Lupita Nyong'o

Lupita Nyong'o is truly on theme in this gorgeous take on American denim by Versace












The Worst
Shawn Mendes

While I commend Mendes for not going with the basic black blazer, I would rather he put on a shirt ditch one of the belts... and whatever suspender-type thing he has going on in this Micheal Kors look
Kim Kardashian

Kim's look fell flat this year, especially considering audiences couldn't even see her face in the Balenciaga ensemble
ASAP Rocky

ASAP Rocky's "quilt" reminded me more of Captain Crunch than anything to do with high fashion. The look was made by new designer Eli Russell Linnetz (ERL), but in all honesty it looks more like someone's grandma's side project

    I loved Yara Shahidi's dress and Normani's but honestly I didn't really like Billie's, I wish the color was just a little more ¨show stopping,¨ I guess.

A Dream SMP Cosplay - Chloe Brawer

You've probably heard of the Dream SMP. And if you haven't, well, let me give you the long story short. The Dream SMP (or DSMP for short) is a Minecraft roleplay series with fans all over the world tuning into the content creators' livestreams on Twitch. Using their own imaginations and Minecraft's resources, members have built and destroyed countries, held elections and banquets, fought wars, and developed amazing character / story arcs. Contrary to popular opinion, YouTuber Dream actually didn't name the roleplay. The name comes from fellow YouTuber and Twitch streamer TommyInnit's video titled "Tommy's First Dream SMP Stream EVER."
